SPP King County Prosecutors Forum

October 14 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

The King County Prosecutor is a gatekeeper to justice in our region. Whomever holds this position controls key polices for undoing the school to prison pipeline, ending mass incarceration and racial disproportionality, and polices accountability. In the past few years there has been a movement for "progressive" prosecutors to run for office. In some cities this has been a strategy for reform.

While the current King County Prosecutor (incumbent) no longer has an active challenger, he should still be out in our communities connecting with and hearing from constituents; especially those most marginalized and negatively impacted by the criminal legal system.

The Seattle Peoples Party will host a forum with or without Dan Satterberg to provide an essential space for earnest dialogue regarding the impacts of the criminal legal system in King County.

We also release platform articulating what we expect to see from the next King County Prosecutor.

We will post more details as we get close to the event.
